My parcel has arrived!

Thank you Linda for this great christmas package! The bamboo needles look great, the chocolates were very nice and the jewellery is very much my style! I hope I have time to knit one christmas ornament that i received a pattern for with this pretty yarn, i especially liked the white which has glitter in it :)


Mmm.. Hot chocolate with marshmallows and chocolate chips! This was a fun gift, I have never seen it like this before! looking forward to trying it :D


And a closer look at the jewellery, the brilliant purple color is served no right by this photo, but I think the beautiful shinyness inside comes out in this photo.

My swap package arrived!

My package for the Christmas swap arrived today! I saved it up til after the kids were in bed! This...

...became this! Wow! I was so excited! I felt like Christmas had come early, which it had!!!

A handmade card, chocolate candy, hot chocolate, fabric, a ceramic heart made by women in Sth Africa, quilting pins, sock yarn, bamboo dpns, a sock pattern, a bag pattern, a story, AND....

...my very first ever pair of hand-knit socks! I feel bowled over by Kristina's generosity! I love them! They fit me perfectly, so much so that I feel like Cinderella wearing the glass slippers!

I haven't taken them off yet! Thank you soooo much, Kristina, my Norwegian friend - you're ace!

Hello all,

I received my Christmas Swap items from Gro Vibeke, from Norway. Wow, look at those wonderful socks!! They are exquisite. I also got chocolate (yummy!) and some really nice red yarn and needles. She also included a nice note.

Swap Package has Arrived!!!

I have received a fab package from Linda. I LOVE, LOVE LOVE it!!!! Excellent stalking, she saw that I love purple and have a Calorimetry queued on my Ravelry page, so I am now the proud owner of a purple one.

I have lots of chocolate, and hot drinks, stitch markers, purple alpaca, and some great patterns from the Drops website. This has been a brilliant swap, thank you Linda!

Outside there's snooooow and there's barely a little daylight left a few hours a day, not long until it will be gone for almost two months.
I'm getting a little christmas feeling and the calendar says 17 days until we can start decorating a little. :-))) (.....and "only" 41 days left to christmas.)

A small crises

I am sitting in the local library. My computer went ill yesterday, and is at the local PC-hospital :-)

All information about the swap is stored in my beloved laptop. My x-mas present might be a little late, but I will assure you that it will be sent soon.

We got the first snow today. Great! At this time of year it gets dark around 3:00 PM, so a little extra light helps a lot.

I am addicted to yarn and needles, fabric and pins, so nearly all x-mas presents we give to friends and family are home made.

This year, I have got a new x-mas friend. She lives abroad, and I will give her something really norwegian. Norwegian wood, maybe :-)

In two minutes I will drive to the nearest mall and see if I can find something really norwegian!

... that i maybe over reacted, but I had joined in a Afghan swap last years with ladies from USA, ( most of them) I had send 27 packages and payed over € 200,= shipping costes. i receives only 8 or 9 packages back. so i was very dissapointed and because nobody was reacting here on this group, i had a awfull feeling that this was goinging to happan again. I joined in this christmas swap because i like to swap things and didn't want to have that sad feeling all over beause of the bad Afghan swap.
so again, sorry for my reaction.

Hello !
I am sorry I have not been on the last weaks but heres an update.3 people have sendt me an e-mail about sending a parcel so far and one has writhen they have gotten theres.The deadline is the 15 th of november so there is still a litle bit of time.
I am really sorry someone is disepointed...This is supose to be a fun swap-and I think we only have to be a litle bit pasient.I hope more of you will continue blogging here and that the one who have got there parcel can blog it on this blog and not only on there own-Its nice fore everyone to see what you all get.I have not mailed my parcel jet -but its going in the mail on tuesday.The same is for Sam juggins suprise;)you all have got a different swap partner then the one you are sending to.

And now girls its getting closer and closer to christmas-I have allreaddy finnished a lot of the christmas presents and starting listening to carols:D
